About Studio K
Studio K is a family business with a team of 3; Kari is the main photographer, she will help you look and feel your best in your portraits; Karissa is a graphic designer and videographer; and Patrick is a graphic designer and our set designer.
With a studio in Olympia and Centralia, we have the largest variety of portrait settings in Thurston and Lewis Counties. Our Olympia Studio been compared to Universal Studios by photographers and clients alike. We have an indoor studio with classic and modern backdrops for a timeless look or a fashion edge. Step outside the back door of our Olympia Studio and enter the 2 acre outdoor portrait park with natural and created settings just for you, the options are endless! We have a variety of country settings, 2 pianos, vintage furniture, 12 old cars and trucks, a graffiti wall, street signs, industrial and urban settings, a beach scene and more! We also have a 72 foot long covered building full of fun sets so we can photograph you rain or shine!
Our second Studio is in the heart of Downtown Centralia with beautiful brick walls and a variety of sets we’ve created including some of our own vintage couches and chairs. There are many unique settings within walking distance in this awesome downtown space!

More About Kari
Kari is a International Award Winning Photographer and has been awarded Photographer of the Year 8 times as well as numerous awards through the Professional Photographers of Washington (PPW), Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and Seattle Professional Photographers Association (SPPA). She first fell in love with photography at five years old while using her mom's camera to photograph her toys. Kari was later known as the girl with the camera in Middle School and High School capturing all those moments on her 110 Film Camera. She finally decided to make it her career and went to school for Photography and Graphic Arts and she started working as a Professional Photographer at LA Glamour in Virginia in 1991. Kari opened up her first studio in Seattle in 1993 and moved her studio to Olympia in 2000. Kari earned her Master's Degree through the PPA in 2011 and her Teaching Degree through the PPA in 2016. When Kari is not photographing people she enjoys hanging out with her family, friends and her two puppies and loves to go prop shopping!
